Welcome to the seventh and latest version of the Islamic Digest. If you are looking for the articles section please click over to: Islamic Digest Articles.

The Islamic Digest is an Islamic Resource and Information site, following the School of the Prophet Muhammad(S) and his Family(A). The site is run by Shabbir and Fatema Hassanally, from wherever they are on Allah’s vast world.

This page, serves as a landing page, as well as a link to the regular editorials that will be provided here, during various Islamic Occasions, as well as world events as and when they occur. It also provides a link to the main articles section of the site.

The artwork (and a link) for the current editorial is also provided at the top of this page, for ease and speed of access, this is changed as the editorials change, but the archive links below will always be provided for your reference.

The editorials are thought out, and painstakingly written, with each one having it’s own original artwork (montaged from other items, some public domain, some commissioned especially), that they serve as an example and lesson for the readers.

From time to time, we will be inviting respected Ulema, Academics, Intellectuals, Commentators and other reputable writers to contribute editorials for particular events, at other times, when it is deemed appropriate by the Editorial Team, we will feature landmark speeches and/or lectures of esteemed Islamic Personalities, such as the Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Khamenei(HA), or the Secretary-General of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah(HA), or the great Muslim Jurists, Ayatullah al-Udhma Sistani(HA) and Ayatullah al-Udhma Fadhlullah(HA), and so on, this will be explained in the preface to such editorials.

Those reading are invited to outline their views on the editorials via email. We do not allow comments on the editorials (even by logged in users). We also encourage people to email these editorials and indeed all articles within this site, but do ask that you credit us back (ideally just send people the link, that way it’ll keep things consistent).

Finally, before we link you to the editorials, we will also be featuring podcasts of the editorials, and these will be uploading alongside the editorials (and off course available as RSS feeds for your iPods or equivalent devices). More information on the podcasts will be available shortly, so watch this space!
