Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, was born on the 17th of Shahrivar, 1348 (September 8, 1969) in Mashhad. From a young age, he was deeply immersed in religious studies, following in the footsteps of his father.

His educational journey led him to learn from renowned scholars such as Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, Ayatollah Mojtaba Tehrani, and Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, who blessed him with a vast knowledge of Islamic sciences.

During the years of war, at the age of 17, Seyyed Mojtaba joined the battlefield as a Basiji, demonstrating his commitment to defending his country against the Ba’athist enemies. His bravery and dedication were noted by his commander, Noor Ali Shoushtari, who praised his courage in the line of duty.

In the post-war era, Seyyed Mojtaba continued his pursuit of knowledge, becoming a teacher of hundreds of instructors and leading one of the most populous advanced-level seminary classes. He is also fluent in Arabic and English and has completed specialised courses in psychology and psychoanalysis.

Seyyed Mojtaba’s life has been characterised by his adherence to his father’s way of life, including simple living and a focus on ethics. He is known for his expertise in various fields, including modern technologies, military sciences, and security affairs.

Today, Seyyed Mojtaba remains a prominent figure in the Islamic Republic of Iran, continuing to serve his country and people with dedication and faith.
