A Heart That Beats for Muhammad (S)
On the Prophet’s blessed birth, we remember not only his message of mercy and unity, but the love that still carries us to him across centuries.
A Heart That Beats for Muhammad (S)
How can words ever capture the ocean of your mercy, O Messenger of Allah?
How can ink ever describe the light that rose with your birth, when the heavens and the earth rejoiced, and the idols fell in silence before the truth?
You are Muhammad, the son of ‘Abdullah (S).
The orphan who was never orphaned, for Allah was always with you.
The man who walked humbly in the markets, yet the angels stood in awe before you.
The Prophet who wept for his nation — not for his family alone, not for his time alone — but for us, the broken ones who would come centuries later, still calling your name with trembling lips.
The Prophet of Mercy
You were not sent with the sword, but with mercy.
You were not raised to crush men, but to lift them.
When your enemies mocked you, you prayed for them.
When they cast stones at you until your feet bled in Ta’if, you raised your hands to heaven, not in curse, but in hope:
“Perhaps their children will believe.”
Who among us could love like you loved? Who could forgive like you forgave?
The Witness of Unity
You came to a desert torn apart by tribal feuds and blood that would never dry. Yet you, with a single word — La ilaha illa Allah — bound their hearts together.
You taught us that we are one Ummah.
That the colour of our skin, the tribe of our fathers, the wealth in our hands — none of it matters before Allah.
What matters is the beating of the heart that says “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”
Today, when we are divided, when we raise flags other than yours, when we quarrel and forget your family, we betray the unity you bled for. O Messenger of Allah, on your birthday we pledge again: we will hold fast to the rope of Allah, we will love your Ahlul Bayt, we will not let your Ummah be broken.
The Ziyarah of Love
When we stand at your resting place, our tongues whisper:
“I bear witness there is no god but Allah, and you are His Messenger. You conveyed the trust, you guided us with wisdom, you strove until the last breath of your life, and you worshipped Allah with sincerity until He called you to the highest station.”
But our hearts say more:
O Muhammad, we are lost without you.
Our sins drag us down, but we lift our faces because we know your intercession is near.
We seek Allah through you, for He Himself commanded us:
“Had they, when they wronged themselves, come to you and asked Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Oft-returning, Merciful.”
(Quran, Surah an-Nisa, Chapter 4, The Women, Verse 64)
And so we come — bruised, weak, sinful — but still yours.
The Beloved of Allah
You are not just our Prophet. You are our heartbeat. You are the mercy that saved us from the fire, the light that led us out of darkness, the love that gives us strength to rise each morning with La ilaha illa Allah on our lips.
On this blessed day, your birthday, we send you our tears, our salaams, our endless gratitude:
“O Allah, bless Muhammad and his pure Household. Raise him to the praiseworthy station that all creation envies. Keep us firm on his path until we meet him at the fountain of Kawthar, drinking from his blessed hand, never to thirst again.”
O Messenger of Allah, on this day, we do not just celebrate your birth — we celebrate our life, for without you, we would have been nothing.
