Gaza Is Not Finished: The Power of Faith, Action, and Hope
Four ways every believer can stand for Palestine
Many of us have heard or even said: “Gaza is finished. There’s nothing I can do for them.” But is that really so?
At times, our hearts ache in the face of Gaza’s immense suffering. We feel paralysed, watching endless crimes unfold with no way to intervene. Israel, the savage dragon, devours Gaza while much of the world simply stands by. It is natural to feel despair and wonder if there is any hope left.
Yet, this bitter feeling is a lie. It is the very weakness the enemy seeks to plant in our hearts, the despair that Satan whispers in our ears to keep us away from the battlefield. Believers are never without strength. The Quran, the Prophet (S), and the Ahlul Bayt (A) have taught us that we are never powerless.
Here are four powerful, practical steps that every believer can take to stand with Gaza.
1. Change Destiny with Prayer
Prayer is not a passive act. It is a force that can alter destiny itself. The greatest change of all is altering God’s decree, and supplication has that power. Through sincere prayer, Almighty God’s decrees about individuals, communities, and even nations can shift.
Too often, we place our trust only in material tools—technology, politics, or science—forgetting that victory belongs solely to God. He has never left the fate of humanity entirely in worldly hands. With prayer, we can influence the course of the universe.
One of the most powerful supplications for Gaza is Supplication 27 in Sahifah Sajjadiyah. Believers must rediscover the immense strength of prayer and wield it as the first weapon of resistance.

2. Intention: A Superhuman Power
Another hidden strength given to human beings is intention. The Prophet (S) said:
“A believer’s intention is better than his action.”
Imam al-Sadiq (A) added:
“On the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered according to their intentions.”
Actions may be blocked by worldly limitations—money, health, or circumstances—but pure, luminous intention is never hindered. God sees the sincerity in our hearts and values it.
If we haven’t achieved something, it is often because we haven’t truly, deeply wanted it. Lofty intentions for Gaza—intending with all our soul for the aid of the oppressed and the downfall of the oppressors—are not wasted. They are treasures that God stores, and they reshape the world.
3. The Media Battle
Alongside the military struggle, there is a full-scale media war. The enemy spends fortunes to bury its crimes, confuse narratives, and turn executioners into martyrs in the public’s mind.
Our duty is not to let this happen. Whether online or in the streets, we must raise our voices for Gaza. We must cry out the truth and ensure that the crimes of the oppressor are not forgotten. Each post, each word, and each conversation is part of this battlefield.
Raise the flag of Palestine high—digitally and physically. Every believer has a duty to counter falsehood with truth.
4. Charity: An Arrow at the Enemy’s Heart
The enemy seeks to crush Gaza through hunger and economic pressure. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a direct strike to the heart of this savage oppression.
Never underestimate the impact of giving. God blesses even the smallest acts of charity, magnifying their effect in unseen ways. Each pound, each dollar, becomes an arrow against tyranny.
Hope Beyond Despair
A believer is never without hope. History is filled with examples:
Yusuf (A) did not lose hope in the well.
Yunus (A) did not despair in the belly of the whale.
Musa (A) did not waver when he faced the sea.
Ibrahim (A) remained calm even in the fire.
We are hopeful because God is with us. Despair is a weapon of the enemy, but hope is the shield of the believer.
Gaza is not finished. The cause is not lost. With prayer, intention, truth, and charity, we carry the power to resist oppression and bring about victory—because He is with us.
