In Mourning for Amin (Imam Khamenei)
A Longing for Union with the Martyr Amin (Imam Khamenei)
By Afshin Ala
In mourning for "Amin"
I want God to unite me with you
To grant me success in attaining this rank
Take my soul,
O assured breath!
Make me utterly vanish in yourself
Your tall stature like Hussein's flag
Make me a thread in your fabric of the banner
Remove two letters from my name, then to the letter M
My name becomes "Amin," derived from you
Like dust, let me settle in your embrace
Make me a speck on that statue of truth
If I see again your blue garment
This grace will make the azure dome envious of me
On which shore of forgiveness have you rested?
Perhaps a rider will take me to you by boat
If your body was torn to pieces by the enemy
Like your body parts, let me be split
They wished for your death, let me die!
But death Keep me away from all these fools until resurrection
