• Whether you speak in whispers or aloud—He knows full well what’s in your hearts.

• Righteousness isn’t about turning your faces to the east or the west. True righteousness is in those who believe in God, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets— who give their wealth, despite loving it, to relatives, orphans, the poor, travellers, those who ask, and to free those in bondage— who establish prayer and give zakat— who keep their promises when they make them— and who remain patient through hardship, suffering, and in the heat of battle. These are the ones who are true, and these are the ones who are mindful of God.
