Ramadhan Dua: Among the Near Ones - Day 5

The Inner Circle

We ask to be placed among the Awliya (close friends of God). This isn't about arrogance, but about wanting our character to reflect those who are truly devoted and humble (Qanitin).

Arabic:

اَللّـهُمَّ اجْعَلْني فيهِ مِنَ الْمُسْتَغْفِرينَ، وَاجْعَلْني فيهِ مِنْ عِبادِكَ الصّالِحينَ الْقانِتينَ، وَاجْعَلْني فيهِ مِنْ اَوْلِيائِكَ الْمُقَرَّبينَ، بِرَأْفَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ.

Transliteration:

Allahummaj'alni fihi minal-mustaghfirin, waj'alni fihi min 'ibadikas-salihinal-qanitin, waj'alni fihi min awliya'ikal-muqarrabin, bira'fatika ya Arhamar-Rahimin.

Translation:

O Allah, on this day, place me among those who seek forgiveness, place me among Your righteous and obedient servants, and place me among Your close friends, by Your kindness, O the most Merciful.
