The Garment of Modesty
Day 12 focuses on "Sitr" (covering) and "Afaf" (chastity). We ask to be clothed in the "attire of contentment." It is a prayer for dignity—asking to be satisfied with what we have and to be protected from the anxieties of the world.
Transliteration:
Allahumma zayyinni fihi bis-sitri wal-'afaf, wasturni fihi bilibasil-qunu'i wal-kafaf, wahmilni fihi 'alal-'adli wal-insaf, wa aminni fihi min kulli ma akhaf, bi-'ismatika ya 'Ismatal-kha'ifin.
Translation:
O Allah, on this day, beautify me with covering and chastity, cover me with the attire of contentment and sufficiency, let me adhere to justice and fairness, and keep me safe from all that I fear, by Your protection, O the protector of the frightened.
